Chapter 1: The King of the Hallways Logan Carter ruled Jefferson Middle School with his fists and his words. If you walked down the hall, you either stepped aside for him or got knocked into a locker. If you spoke up, he made sure you regretted it. The teachers knew, but Logan was smart—he never got caught. To the other students, Logan was nothing but a nightmare. To him, they were weak, and weak people deserved to be reminded of it. But Logan didn’t wake up one morning and decide to be a bully.
